These Strawberry Kiss Cookies are soft, buttery, and bursting with strawberry flavor, topped with a chocolate kiss for a delightful treat. Easy to make and perfect for Valentine's Day, birthdays, or any sweet occasion!

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons strawberry gelatin mix (Jell-O)
  • Red or pink food coloring (optional)
  • ½ cup powdered sugar (for rolling)
  • 24 chocolate kisses, unwrapped

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add egg, vanilla extract, and strawberry gelatin mix, and mix until combined. Add food coloring if desired.
  • Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
  • Scoop dough into 1-inch balls, roll in powdered sugar, and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until cookies are set but not browned.
  • Immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie.
  • Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For extra strawberry flavor, add a few drops of strawberry extract.
  • Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
  • Freeze dough balls before baking for up to 3 months.
