Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb spaghetti
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb Italian sausage
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Cook spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef, Italian sausage, and chopped onion, cooking until browned. Add garlic and cook for another minute. Stir in marinara sauce, season with salt and pepper, and simmer for 10 minutes.
  • In a separate bowl, mix cream cheese, ricotta, sour cream, and Parmesan cheese until smooth.
  • Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish. Layer half of the cooked spaghetti at the bottom. Spread the cheese mixture evenly over the spaghetti. Top with the remaining spaghetti.
  • Pour the meat sauce over the layered spaghetti and spread evenly. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella on top.
  • Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute ricotta and cream cheese with cottage cheese.
  • This dish can be made ahead and frozen before baking.
  • Serve with a green salad and garlic bread for a complete meal.
