  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

For the Linguine:

  • 8 oz linguine pasta
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Boil linguine in salted water according to package instructions. Drain and toss with butter, Parmesan, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
  2. Prepare the Chicken: Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. Sear the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  4. Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant. Add chicken broth, heavy cream, lemon juice, lemon zest, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 2 minutes.
  5. Combine Everything: Return chicken to the pan, spoon sauce over, and simmer for 5 minutes. Sprinkle Parmesan and parsley.
  6. Serve: Plate the chicken over the linguine and enjoy!

Notes

  • Adjust lemon juice for more or less tanginess.
  • Add spinach or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor.

  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken reaches 165°F.
