Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 3 tablespoons butter

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1/4 cup white wine (or chicken broth)

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley

  • Grated Parmesan cheese for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium heat.

  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

  3. Add shrimp and cook until they turn pink, about 2-3 minutes per side.

  4. Pour in white wine (or broth) and lemon juice, and sprinkle in red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.

  5. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce reduces slightly.

  6. Toss shrimp to coat evenly.

  7. Garnish with chopped parsley and Parmesan cheese before serving.

Notes

  • If you prefer a non-alcoholic version, use chicken broth instead of white wine.

  • Adjust red pepper flakes to your spice preference.

  • Serve over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
