Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  • Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear chicken breasts until golden brown on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  • Pour in chicken broth, scraping the bottom of the skillet to deglaze. Add heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, oregano, and thyme. Stir well to combine.
  • Bring the sauce to a simmer and return the chicken breasts to the skillet. Simmer for 10-15 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce thickens.
  • Garnish with fresh basil and serve hot.

Notes

  • You can substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter sauce.
  • Serve with pasta, rice, or crusty bread to soak up the creamy sauce.
  • For added depth of flavor, use bone-in chicken thighs instead of breasts.
