  • 12 oz penne pasta
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup vodka
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil, for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onion and garlic until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Add red pepper flakes and stir for 30 seconds. Pour in vodka and simmer for 2-3 minutes to reduce.
