This Chicken Tomato Pasta recipe is a flavorful, quick-to-make dish combining tender chicken, tangy tomato sauce, and perfectly cooked pasta.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked pasta (penne or spaghetti)
  • 2 chicken breasts, diced
  • 1 cup canned diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Parmesan cheese and fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add diced chicken and cook until golden and fully cooked. Remove from skillet.
  • In the same skillet, sauté onion and garlic until fragrant.
  • Add canned diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet and mix well.
  • Toss the cooked pasta with the chicken tomato sauce until well coated.
  • Garnish with Parmesan cheese and fresh basil if desired. Serve warm.

  • For extra flavor, add chili flakes for a bit of spice.
  • Substitute chicken breasts with thighs for a juicier texture.
