Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, and vanilla.
  • Toss diced apples with lemon juice, then fold into the wet ingredients.
  • Gradually add dry ingredients, stirring until combined.
  • Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
  • Drop spoonfuls of batter into hot oil, frying until golden brown (about 2-3 minutes per side).
  • Remove and drain on paper towels.
  • Whisk powdered sugar and milk to make the glaze, then drizzle over warm fritters.
